Who are some celebrities that got banned from other countries?


In 2016, Selena Gomez was banned from performing in China and this ban still stands to this day.




In 2014, Selena posted a picture of herself, on her social media, alongside the Dalai Lama when they met in Vancouver, Canada:


In 2016, she was scheduled to perform a series of concerts, from August 6th till the 8th, in China, but the Chinese government discovered the pictures and banned her from ever performing in China.



Many celebrities have been banned from China for their connections with the Dalai Lama, as he is considered an enemy of the Chinese nation for his fight for Tibet to be liberated from the Chinese government.


Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Linking Park, and many other artists are currently banned. Some for sharing the same ideologies as him, being pictured with him or some, like Maroon 5, were banned for wishing him a happy birthday on Twitter.
